Wendy first appears in "The Hard Goodbye" after her twin Goldie is murdered. She initially believes Marv killed Goldie and, alongside Gail, captures him to extract a confession. After Marv escapes his restraints, Wendy realizes he is innocent. Together they uncover that Cardinal Roark used Kevin, a cannibalistic serial killer, to murder Goldie and frame Marv. Wendy waits in the car while Marv travels to the Roark farm to torture and kill Kevin. She supports Marv until his execution, where she visits him in prison. When he mistakenly calls her "Goldie," she replies, "Call me Goldie," before they kiss madly. In "A Dame to Kill For," she is shown working in Old Town when Goldie offers services to Marv.

In Their Own Story

In the short story "And Behind Door Number Three?," Wendy and Gail set a trap for a man suspected of "carving up" girls in Old Town. Wendy lures the suspect through doors, at which point Gail shoots him in the knee and ties him up. The confrontation ends with Miho arriving to torture the captive. By this point, Wendy is wearing Marv's necklace. In the 2014 film adaptation of "A Dame to Kill For," Wendy appears in black-and-white as a blonde enforcer carrying a pistol in an Old West gunbelt, contrasting with Goldie, who is shown in full color wearing a white dress.
